153 How To Leverage Your Blog For Professional Opportunities

By Leslie Samuel | Blogging

Mar 05

I have had so many great opportunities as a direct result of my blogging efforts.

I've been invited to speak at a number of conferences about blogging, podcasting and even Youtube marketing.

I've been interviewed on a BUNCH of podcasts and on radio.

My blog landed me a job as a university professor in a doctoral program without a pHD.

And now, I've been invited to create content for none other than Khan Academy. In fact, I'm in San Francisco right now going through training with them.

Hi Leslie, Just wondering if you know the answer to this.
I have a particular You Tube that has lots of hits on it, so I have made a pattern for the item that the You Tube is about…Can I open and edit a You Tube once it has been uploaded?
I am wanting to place a note on it to say about this pattern I have developed.
    Thanks
    Have an awesome day
    Rose

    • Hi Rose, you can’t edit the video itself, but you can insert a caption that’s clickable so that they can read it, click it and go to the page on your blog, or another youtube video you created.

Hope that helps, and you have an awesome day too 🙂

  • Rose Lewis says:

Thank you so much for this Leslie. I just have one more question…
I have done what I need to do by bring two videos now together, when I place this up on my site, will I keep the stats of my original views and how can I do this or will it just automatically do this. Make sure your day today is absolutely fantastic
    Rose

    • You’re very much welcome. However, I’m not sure what you mean by you bringing two videos together and also not sure about your question about the original views. Can you clarify. Maybe even post the links?

  • Rose says:

Thank you for your help here Leslie, but I was totally in the wrong place. and doing the wrong thing…Once I reread your answer it was all very easy and just took me a few minutes….I wasted days…but I will forever now know just how to do this…a learning curb.
    Thank you
    Rose
