How do you fit into that picture?

What is my vision, and why am I almost crying? (What?)

In This Episode

Become A Blogger has changed a lot over the years, and it's about to go through some more changes.

BrightFutureHowever, before these changes are made, I wanted to share them with you and explain, in great detail, the heart behind the changes. I share things like:

  • How my passion for entrepreneurship was ignited.
  • My experience in Germany when I couldn't afford to buy food and what that story had to do with my vision for Become A Blogger
  • How last week's interview with Michael Stelzner is impacting the direction of Become A Blogger
  • What exactly my vision for Become A Blogger is
  • How do I plan on getting there
  • What's in it for you, and how you fit into the overall equation

If you've ever heard me be passionate about a topic, you ain't heard nothin yet (yep, I spelled it like that). So if you've benefited from Become A Blogger AT ALL in the past and care about the future of this community, I encourage you to listen in.

Announcement

I mentioned on the podcast that I would make an announcement, but COMPLETELY forgot to actually make the announcement. I'm heading to Cincinnati, OH tomorrow for the Savvy Blogging Summit and will be doing a meetup on Sunday at 1pm EST. If you're in the area, check out the Facebook Event page so that we can connect there. I'd love to be able to connect with you in person.

Listener Questions

  • Pete, from All Jeeps For Sale called in to ask how he can increase SEO, create a sense of community and drive traffic to his classified website.
  • Both Kathy Strand from Lean Body Works and Warren Gibons from Salt Water Aquariums Explained called in to ask about the service I use to provide a hotline for you to call in and leave questions.

If you have a question that you'd like me to answer on the show, feel free to call the hotline at (888) 835 – 2414.

QUESTION: What should we call members of the BAB community? I'd love for it to be something that's “hashtagable” 😉

    Hi Les,

Yes, great plans. We always need a vision for the future, no matter how hard that is. I think your plan for the future of become a blogger will work, however, you’re already saying this yourself, unexpected things may happen, either positively or negatively. Just keep believing in yourself, nobody can take that away. Stay cool and greetings to your family, Hans

    • Thanks Hans. I definitely believe. The future looks bright. And I always expect the unexpected. If everything that happened was expected, life would be boring 😉

Thanks for being along on the journey!

If content is king, then more content is better as long as it is coming from good sources. My site originally was me, now I have 30 consistent writers, and have had several come and go along the way, have over 100 by now. While I don’t practice Michael’s model (I find paying my writers keeps them coming back and my profit sharing model of paying them makes us a try team that shares in successes and failures based on contribution) and while he said commenting from posters was important, he didn’t leave even one, I did hire and editor this week to try and tighten things up..I think even you are going to find out what impact adding more content has..maybe some of the other things I say might make sense, key words being some and might…lol.
Best of luck and hopefully I can add something here that helps make people realize their dreams..

    • I do believe that the outcome will definitely be interesting. Content is indeed king, and we’re gonna be ramping that up. It won’t be anywhere close to the amount of content you’re producing, but it’s a step in the right direction I think.

Glad to have you along on the journey bro.

While the “Net” in internet is really the “web” formed by links, I also believe that by producing more content is like casting a net and throwing out more topics and keywords to increase people chances of finding you when they search in Google for a topic you wouldn’t have normally covered if you had less content. The amount of content I do isn’t a choice, it’s just what we do, not for everyone nor is it a good fit for every topic, would be infinitely harder with your subject matter…

hope you will become a most successful blogger as per your vision and plan, and helping your blog followers

  • Leslie,

You are a shining light for us! I’ll always follow what you’re doing because you share unselfishly. I’m a teacher and a single mom, and have very little to spend. I’ve wasted a lot of money buying services that I don’t need. Thank you for realizing that we don’t all have money to spare, and making it your priority to help others who are struggling.

I have to add that the money I spent on Become a Blogger 2 was worth it. I found a lasting resource, even for when I become successful!

    • Thank you for your feedback Lucy. I’m glad to know that you’re finding your membership valuable. That’s just Awesomeness 🙂

Thanks for being along on the journey!

  • Hi Leslie! Great vision,my prayers are with you!
