One of the core strategies that we teach inside Become A Blogger Premium, is that it’s absolutely essential to make yourself stand out from the crowd in today’s competitive world of blogging.
And one of the best ways in which you can do that is to use what we call “X-Factor” strategies. These kind of strategies mainly revolve around the clever use social media sites like YouTube, Twitter and Facebook, the three most prominent social media sites in the world today.
Inside today’s interview, I talk candidly to Maria Andros, one of the world’s most prominent experts on social media, and how to use sites like YouTube, Twitter and Facebook to help you drive a truckload of new traffic back to your blog.
Maria reveals some pretty amazing strategies inside today’s interview and she even talks about some additional free content that you can grab, right towards the end of the interview. So make sure you listen to the whole thing to find you what where to access these extra resources.
In particular, inside the interview, Maria spills the beans on:
- How to use YouTube effectively to drive lots of new traffic back to your blog…
- How to create super powerful video content that will make you look like a trusted pro in your niche…
- How to use a special keyword tool to help you optimize your YouTube videos for the “long tail” - don’t worry, it’s all explained in detail inside the interview…
- How to use Twitter properly to help you build a loyal following who will keep on coming back to your blog…
- Why Facebook is still a powerful force to be reckoned with and why you MUST have it as part of your social media strategy for success online…

Enjoyed the interview. She has a lot of good information. Her Twitter page, along with her website are also interesting. Gives you more to think about.
Great information that EVERYONE should be listening to on how to use Social Media to our advantage. Especially enjoyed some of the secrets on what to do and what NOT to do. Thanks for providing such great information
Thanks for this amazing interview with this insightful and creative woman!

Thanks a lot.
I have downloaded the interview and look forward to listening to it tomorrow.
Thanks a lot.
Really great interview….
you really dugg out lots of information from Maria Andros….
Thx so much
Gideon, what a fantastic interview! A lot of key points were addressed and those who put what they’ve learned here into action will see results. I’m a strong believer in video and am currently transforming my business model around video marketing and video training. With the combination of twitter and facebook along with other strong video marketing software, you really can dominate Google and be on the first page for multiple listings. My biggest problem is not enough time in the day to complete all the videos I need to get done
Maria talked about just picking up the camera and filming. That is so true. To many times I find myself thinking about it to much and delaying the production. I always think it has to be hollywood style production which is so untrue. Get back to the basics and just be yourself. People will follow you for your information and what you teach them, not how professional your video is produced. Of course make it look nice, but you don’t need to be George Lucas.
Another misunderstanding is how much it costs to produce videos. If you have zero equipment and software you can literally be up and running for under a few hundred dollars. You can get a digital camera from Costco for under $200 and you can pick up video editing software for free because it should be already installed on your computer with windows movie maker or Apple’s version (which is better). If you don’t like these softwares, you can easily pick up a professional editing software for under $100 easy. If you need ‘record your screen’ software you can get that for free as well.
So there really isn’t any excuses when it comes to video. Of course it does take time and a lot of us are very busy so time is hard to come by, but schedule it in your day, even if it’s only an hour a day, by the end of the week you could have multiple videos done and online generating traffic and sales.
Take care Gideon and look forward to the next great interview!

Absolutely enlightening! Really enjoyed Maria’s insights and suggestions. I certainly will be following the “Video Queen”.
What a fantastic interview! I really enjoyed it and even took notes *wink*
I really want to get started with video on my blog but have been holding back for various reasons. Like Maria said, I need to just have the courage to do it! So many great tips in the interview and Maria’s story is very inspiring. I would like to live on the beach one day too!
Hi Maria is great I learned the Twitter following tips from her and I have a following of 6,400 people I use twitter for research and connection. I agree easy does it and do not use the stuff like Twitter Traffic Machine you can have your account deleted or suspended. Also be careful of using auto DMs on Twitter. If it looks like Spam it is spam if it walks like a duck quacks like a duck it IS a duck. I did buy the “product” - the traffic “machine”and it did help me with a few tips and also helped me to identify spammers I really do not want them as followers even.
I use Facebook mainly for personal connections I have 2 groups I am afraid of the Privacy problems on Facebook and have my setting set really high.
I would be interested in hearing from a Facebook guru where Facebook actually “works”to generate traffic. However, I have made some connections there.
Hi sorry for being an over commenter
Another idea is to speak to someone else who uses this key word search stuff - it’s mostly used for sites for PPC advertising for squeeze pages I think. But bloggers can learn lessons I think.
I am curious about it. Some peole spend thousands and then advertise they get thousands in revenue it’s not revenue but profit that counts. I would be interested in your (and Yaro’s) views.
Maria seems to be excellent at this keyword stuff and I need to do some more work before I put tags and titles on my stuff I think?
I really enjoyed listening to this interview and feel motivated by Maria’s story and her enthusiasm and natural energy. I’ll be sure to check her website out and start following on Twitter.
Thanks heaps Gideon,.. you and Yarro always put out great content!
Thanks a lot.
Since long time i was planning to launch a you tube campaign for my blog.
I think here it started
thanku for inaugrating mine you tube campaign
right now i am downloading it, will listen to it.
A wonderful interview. I enjoyed it very much. thank you.
I am working on seeing myself successful using the premise of “The Secret” as you mentioned. I am in process of shifting my mind set just like you. I started with the mind board too, and now I’m using Mind Movies, because I want to quit my job too.

Great interview Gideon! There was great insight shared in this interview. I am just starting my social media “campains” and am excited to use the information that was shared. Thanks. Keep up the good work.
Well done, Gideon. You and Yaro Starak always manage to offer super good information and inspiration. Keep up the good work!
Good interview with some great content. Maria’s material is really useful and I will be working with her in future alongside Alex Jeffreys.

Thank you for the audio interview. This is a terrific interview, especially the YouTube info. Haven’t broached using that medium yet but am looking forward to exploring it. Thanks for the links to Maria’s freebies as well.
Hey ,
Such a nice interview .. It was funny I just today in the morning visited Maire website and twitter page and now here I am listening to her interview . Nice to hear her and understand her strategies ..funny how The Secret has helped her toooo.
This is a really great interview. Maria is just so inspiring. I sometimes feel that I should give up, but I know that it’s a long journey and I have to stop comparing myself to others and focus on my own website instead of how much better someone else’s blog might be.
Gideon, great interview with good, actionable information. Later today I’ll be going back through and taking more notes - it’s pretty content-packed.
And could I offer a suggestion? Would it be possible to slim down the MP3 files? I live in Thailand where, most days, the “broadband” service is no such thing. In fact, it sometimes cuts out completely a few times in an hour. It took me three tries to download that 53 MByte sound file (stopped and timed out the first two tries).
Since the sound quality of a phone call isn’t so high to begin with, there isn’t much point in using a high 128kbps quality level. In fact, as an experiment, I converted that 53kB file to 40kbps and it didn’t lose much except 2/3 of its size… down from 53kB to about 16kB.
I hope this doesn’t come across as criticism, because I love the recordings that you and Yaro do, and look forward to hearing many more of them. It’s just that sometimes it’s hard to download ‘em due to their size.
Cheers from warm and smiling Thailand,
Charles

Hey Charles
Thanks for the feedback - and I really appreciate it.
For the next one, I will certainly do my best to see if I can reduce the file size.

Great interview Gideon! Maria is truly a breath of fresh air, I can’t wait to check out her videos.
Maria sounds like she is high on life, just from her voice I could tell she has a bright and bubbly personality and is a person anyone would find pleasure in meeting.
Thanks John
Great interview Gideo! Maria is the real deal and sure does over deliver.
If you or your readers would like to know about the stories of her students check out the Social Media Traffic Blueprint Insider Podcasts. The community that has grown around Maria’s coaching program share their struggles and their triumphs.
All the best, Deano.
Thanks Gideon. It’s greatly appreciated.
Cheers, Charles
thanks indeed for sharing this interview…
This was probably one of the best audios that I have ever heard. Not because of the quality because there were some bad bits. But because after hearing Maria’s explanation of the long tail keyword, the lightbulb came on. I had heard it explained before but today I finally understood it.
Thanks Yaro!

Hi Gideon
I’ve been following Maria myself for a while and am already on her list, so I was really interested in listening to the interview. Well done for a focussed interview which got to the heart of some useful tips on social media.
I’m in two minds about Maria’s programme. On the one hand I love her style, and she is a great advocate for her programme,
On the other hand, at $5000 it is a lot of money to spend and although she has some interesting free videos on the Social Media Traffic Blueprint site & Youtube channel, she’s not giving away nearly as much free help as yourself and Yaro’s sites and your programme’s only $250. I’ll take all the free help I can get, but I need a bit more evidence to convince me to part with all that money.
I wondered whether you or Yaro has taken her programme and whether you consider it value for money?
Best wishes

Gideon,
have to say, you’ve done it again. More high quality content. I am glad I bought your course and I am taking it. I am glad you continue to take the time to update your material with great interviews like this. Keep up the great work. Both you and Yaro.
Hi Gideon,
You did it again. I listened to this a few times as it is so inspiring. I also haven’t been able grasp how to make anything of Twitter, now I have a clue.
This interview has generated so many ideas for me for videos — I haven’t gotten there yet, but I really want to.
She’s great and you really let her talk. I have made treasure maps before and know it is powerful, so it was nice to be reminded.
Thanks again and I will check out Maria.
Hi Gideon
I am always pleased to get an email from you with yet another link to some helpful material…as this interview with Maria…I am looking for a word press theme to launch a blog…can you tell me what theme you used for this blog site and what video platform you use?

Hey FrJohn
Thanks for your nice comments!
I used the Thesis theme for this blog, but I have customized it a little to suit my needs. It’s a great theme.
We host a lot of the videos ourselves, but my current favorite free video sharing sites are http://www.youtube.com, http://www.viddler.com, and http://www.blip.tv.

Yes i found it. TQ
Thanks for the interview. She has so many great ideas. Was wondering what plug-in you used to get the audio on the blog. I need to install and audio plug-in and love how yours is set up. Thanks for all the tips… keep ‘em coming
Maria is dead on with her comments about videos and being nervous but then calming down and then being confident. I was a nervous wreck when I made my first video (and it shows) but after 1 or 2 I have been able to calm down a bit. Once you get 1 or 2 under the belt, your confidence really does start to rise!
This video is fantastic, it gives you the ability to think outside the box and see that blogging is really not that difficult.

And yes, it’s true… once you get into blogging, you start realizing that it’s actually pretty straight forward and fun to do.
Talk soon!

Just discovered this interview. Amazing info. Wow! What I never knew! I always made my videos for my lists. Now I will expand to reach more people. I didn’t have a clue.
Thanks so much!
