About your themes, it really depends on what exactly you’ve been modifying with your current theme.

If you’ve only changed things that does not involve the css stylesheets, you should probably be ok.

But the best is probably to back up your site and your database first before you do anything too intense. Unfortunately, backing up your site and database is a bit intense as well, and I cant explain to you inside this comment how to do it.
