One of the joys of being The Freebie Guy is seeing many people coming to my blog by doing searches in google or other search engines. It's even more exciting to see that most of the searches are relevant to the content that I provide. Some of the searches that I get are quite interesting. However, there are a few disappointing searches that I I see every so often. It seems there are quite a few people out there that are searching hard for a way to cheat freebie sites. Here are a few or the searches that resulted in traffic to my blog:

can you cheat freebie sites
can you cheat the freebie websites
cheat and get referrals for project payday
cheating free ipod referrals
cheating freebie referral sites
how to cheat to get referrals for freebie sites

Now, forgive me for the rant, but these are the kinds of things that can harm an industry, whether it be Freebie Trading or Blogging, Affiliate marketing or Niche marketing. Unfortunately, there are people out there who would rather cheat their way to success than work hard and smart.

Freebie Trading is a legitimate industry and has helped many people make a decent income while working from home. Lets try our best to do our part to ensure that this industry survives for many years to come. Cheating the industry not only hurts yourself, but also hurts others.

Now their are many “relatively honest” people out there that aren't out to harm anyone, but who try to cheat the system in a way that they think can make them more money faster. For those of you who fall into this category, I know it might seem like the easier way, but it really doesn't end up benefiting you one bit.

Ways people cheat and their consequences:

Completing an offer more than once – This is a big no-no. The companies that provide these offers do so because they are looking for people to try out and evaluate their services. It's a way of bringing exposure to their products/services. Once they paid for you to check it out, it's not a smart thing to pay you AGAIN to evaluate their services AGAIN. When you do this, the company doesn't pay for either and your account will be put on hold.

Trying to go green on the same site multiple times – Another big no-no. Signing up for multiple accounts might seem like a good way to earn money multiple times. The problem here is that this is against the Terms of Services on ALL freebie sites. Fortunately, they have mechanisms in place to detect this and will put your account on hold.

International users completing American offers – This might be the least obvious one. Most of the Freebie Sites only allow users from the United States and Canada. Some do allow individuals from the U.K. and Australia and there are very few that allow others. I will be working on a list of sites that allow international users. Once again, when the sites detect that you are international, your accounts will be put on hold.

Using a proxy to bypass the IP address requirements – Proxies are not allowed on freebie sites. Fortunately, they have systems in place to also detect proxies and it results in your account being put on hold. You can check to see if you Internet Service Provider uses a proxy by doing this simple Proxy Test. If it does use a proxy, it's time to either switch your internet service or find some other money-making venture.

All that being said, being put on hold is not something to be taken lightly. Holds can be temporary, which usually involves you sending in some kind of identification to verify you are who you say you are, or permanent, where their is no hope for you. There are ways that freebie sites communicate with each other so that being put on hold at one site can also affect you at other sites. Trying to cheat the system is NOT the way to go. If you want to make money online, do it the right way. Remember, Honesty pays!!

Can you think of other ways people try to cheat the system? Let me know and I will update this post accordingly.
