Today’s interview was a tremendous pleasure. I met Crystal at Blog World in New York this summer and we had a blast getting to know her.

Well, I knew that Crystal was into big things, but I didn’t fully understand how AWESOME she is when it comes to blogging and building online businesses. I mean – I knew she was awesome, but now I know that awesome doesn’t begin to describe it.

I grabbed her on this interview and she shared some awesome tips on how to really build a SERIOUS business with your blog. This interview isn’t for anyone who doesn’t want to take their blogging seriously.

I mean, it has even caused me to reevaluate how I do my business. So trust me on this one – you want to listen to this one, especially if you are someone who thinks big.

Inside the interview, Crystal talks about

  • How she got into blogging in the first place
  • Why it’s Essential to be passionate about what you’re doing
  • How to take your blogging business to the next level in 3 steps
  • What a Keyword Theme Map is and why you need one

So, What did you think about this interview? Make sure to let me know in the comments below.

Listening to this podcast episode brought back memories of the fun times we hard in New York, sounded like you guys pick up where we left off.

I really like the the idea of creating the a keyword theme map and planning your content around it. This will definitely help you have a more strategic purpose when building your blog.

@Chris Deals  Yep, if we could only get her to come to Vegas in January, that would be AWESOME ;)

Yeah, that was definitely a great idea and it’s something that I hope to work on pretty soon! Lets make it happen!

    Hi Leslie and Crystal!

Thanks for sharing your story Crystal, it’s very inspirational. Is the Keyword Theme Map part of the Marketing Calendar Blueprint? I visited the site and it really didn’t say, and I couldn’t find anything from Dan Morris online either.

    Thanks again,

@Leslie Samuel  @Lean Muscle Matt  Hey Matt! The Marketing Calendar shows you what you need to do to create one. But if you wanted Dan to do it, that would be a separate thing. You can email him directly at dan@lettersfromdan.com or his facebook page: facebook.com/danrmorris  Hope that helps!

I really enjoyed this podcast episode. It made me realize that I have been doing this sort of thing since I started blogging, but never really thought about it in the same way or using those terms. It’s nice to know that you are doing something that other people recommend without really paying attention.

For me, it really makes sense to lay it all out and have a set schedule and plan for what to do. For me personally it helps me to stay focused and on task. I usually lay out a plan for what I will do each day of the week for my typical daily/weekly posts while also preparing for future posts that are more in depth.

Thanks for the great podcast and site. Keep up the awesome work!

    ~Todd~
