Interview with Leo, Owner of the Free Lunch Room Forum – Part 1

If you have been involved with Freebie Trading for a while, you are bound to know about the Free Lunch Room Forum (FLR) – The biggest Freebie Trading forum out there. As I am writing this, the Free Lunch Room has 121,039 members and is responsible for most of my income as a Freebie Trader in 2008. The owner of The Free Lunch Room Forum is Leo and in this interview, I speak with him about many aspects of FLR. It is separated into 3 parts. In part 1, we talk about:

  • His history in the Industry
  • What FLR is about
  • The Business Model of the forum

So go ahead and watch, and I hope you enjoy. Parts 2 and 3 will cover more recent topics/issues that FLR has been experiencing. Please leave your comments below :)

    To greenworks:
Yes, pretty sure. Gladiator’s name is Anthony btw.

Leo and Gladiator opened Prizebook together. They were banned from other forums before FLR existed. In late 2006 they had a $50,000 contest — $1000 to 50 people. FreeIpodGuide was one of the major forums at the time, and Gladiator (known as JohnJimJones on FIPG) just happened to be one of only three or so known winners (In other words, they claim 95% of winners did not belong to a freebie forum). It was claimed that JJJ (Gladiator) did not work for Prizebook, but it was obvious to everyone that he did.
There was supposed to be one winner per state, and then at the last moment, in just about every state, new names suddenly appeared on the leaderboard. Just as JJJ happened to “predict” a couple of days before. Prizebook claimed that the site was hacked, but then that all of the winners were legit.

Today Leo claims that he was only the “CEO” of Prizebook at that time and wasn’t involved in it’s operations, but of course that’s also not true. It was a 2-man operation, not a big company. And Leo’s story has actually changed since late 2007 when he said that he had never owned Prizebook and actually announced on FLR that he was buying them and was the new owner…

Funny thing about the internet — time may pass but the original forum threads, interviews, etc, don’t disappear. Just takes some googling, some searches at FreeipodGuide, maybe a trip to archive.org, etc
I hope more people take the time to do their own research and not take the man’s word for it.

Yup, once you learn the background of FLR/Prizebook, it will change how people look at the sites now. Do your research like SwiftRewards said.

Free Lunch Room is not a trustworthy site. FLR’s administration has a history of lies, deception and even fraud. Hopefully others can research FLR, Prizebook and their history.

Is there a specific section on here that I should use to advertise my website? Just wanted to make sure I asked before posting about it …

    Thanks!
